Vestas surpasses 1 GW of order intake in China

Vestas has received two turbine orders totaling 251 MW that include multi-year service agreements, pushing the OEM’s order intake to more than 1 GW in China in 2020.Under the first contract, Vestas has secured a 101 MW order for a wind farm in China that includes the supply of 42 V120-2.2 MW turbines delivered in 2.4 MW power optimized mode, as well as an Active Output Management 4000 service contract ( AOM 4000) for 20 years. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020, and commissioning is scheduled for the same quarter.

Under the second contract, which is for 150 MW capacity, Vestas will supply 53 V120-2.2 MW in 2.4 MW Power Optimised Mode and seven V155-3.3 MW turbines. The contract also includes a 5-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2020, with commissioning planned for the same quarter.Customers’ and projects’ names have not been disclosed by Vestas. With these orders, Vestas has reached an order intake for wind power in China in 2020 of more than 1 GW.
