NHDC reissues tender for 25 MW floatovoltaic project in Madhya Pradesh

NHPC Limited and Madhya Pradesh government, through their joint venture NHDC Limited have reissued a tender inviting bids for a 25 MW floating solar project. The project will be set up at Omkareshwar reservoir in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the solar power project. The contract will also include operations and maintenance (O&M) of the project for five years. The prospective bidders will be required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 18.5 million. The project must be completed within 12 months. The last date for the submission of bids is August 25, 2020.

The tender was initially floated in July 2019.  The tender was cancelled due to right of way issues for the transmission lines. Following the cancellation of the earlier tender, a new one has now been issued. The eligibility criteria require the bidder to have completed a solar power project during the last seven years on an EPC basis. The bidder should have completed a solar project of 20 MW capacity, two projects of at least 12.5 MW each, or three projects of 10 MW each. The bidder should also have experience of O&M of at least 10 MW for at least one year over the course of the last seven years.
