The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority has invited bids for setting up 10 MW of solar rooftop projects at identified buildings in NOIDA under the RESCO model. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, procurement and supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plants for 25 years from the date of commissioning of the plants.The estimated cost of the project is Rs 400 million and the bidders will be required to submit a security deposit of Rs 20 million. Further, the bidders will also be required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 5 million along with their bids.The last date for bid submission is August 13, 2020.
Since the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Authority has issued a new regulation that disallows net-metering in all consumer categories except domestic and agricultural consumer, the NOIDA authority has decided to set up the project under RESCO model. The eligibility criteria requires that the bidders must have experience in design, supply, installation, and commissioning of solar systems under RESCO mode of cumulative capacity of not less than 5 MWp in the last seven financial years from the last date of bid opening.
