Haryana’s state government has floated a tender for setting up grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 3 MW with net metering facilities. These projects may or may not include a battery component. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop solar plants with net metering facility. Post-commissioning, the project developers will be required to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for the plants for a period of five years. The developers must complete the work on the project, including the inspection, supply, installation and commissioning of the project within three months from the date of the work order.
The size of each rooftop solar power plant without battery bank shall be in the range of 1 kWp to 50 kWp capacity, while that of plants with storage will be between 1 kWp and 10 kWp. As per the tender document, the eligibility criteria require the bidder to have the experience of installation of a minimum of 1.2 MW capacity of grid-connected solar power plants in the last five financial years. The bidder should also have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 570 million in the past three years and have a positive net worth in the previous financial year.
