Sterling and Wilson Solar Solutions (SWSS), the US subsidiary of Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited, a leading solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions provider, has been awarded a $99 million contract to construct a 194 MW solar project in the US. The construction will commence in September 2020 and the project will be commissioned by November 2021. SWSS will be managing the entire turnkey execution for the solar PV project, and once commercially operational, the plant will produce enough solar energy to power over 35,000 homes, saving approximately 275,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions. The solar plant will use bifacial technology to increase energy production. According to the company, the project will support the fight against climate change, create clean energy jobs, and save energy costs. It will also play a key role in meeting clean and renewable energy goals.
