SECI has floated a tender to develop 15 MW of floating solar projects in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. The projects will be set up at the Nangal Pond, near Neilla Village in Bilaspur. Even though SECI has done away with tariff caps, this tender has a tariff cap since it is issued on behalf of the Bhakra Beas Management Board. The tariff cap set for the bids is Rs 3.41 per kWh. The power will be purchased under a long-term 25-year PPA. The bidders may also submit a single bid for the entire 15 MW of floating solar projects. The projects must be completed within 18 months of signing the PPA. The last date for the submission of bids is August 3, 2020.
