SECI invites bids for setting up 1,070 MW of solar plants in Rajasthan

SECI has invited bids for developing 1,070 MW of solar plants in Rajasthan. The plants will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. SECI will sign a PPA with the selected bidder for a period of 25 years. As per the tender guidelines, the power procured by SECI from the solar plants will be sold to Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The plants should have minimum individual capacities of 10 MW and will be set up in integral values, with a cumulative capacity of 1,070 MW. Projects under construction or projects that are not yet commissioned may be considered, in case these projects are not already accepted under any other central or state schemes. The selected bidder will also be responsible for developing a dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection and delivery point. The last date for bid submission is August 31, 2020.
