SECI to set up 10 MW of solar power projects in Rajasthan

SECI has floated a tender to develop 10 MW of solar power projects in Bagru Kala town, Jaipur District Rajasthan under competitive bidding. The project will be developed under a build-own-operate basis. The power generated from the above projects by the developer will be sold directly to Jaipur development authority (JDA). The power purchase agreement between the selected bidder and JDA will be for a total period of 25 years. The last date for the submission of bids is July 24, 2020.

The maximum tariff payable to the developer has been capped at fixed at Rs 3.20 per kWh for 25 years.Bidders are to submit their bid by offering a single tariff for the entire package, comprising of a cumulative capacity of 10MW. The minimum capacity for which any bidder could bid for is 10 MW. The scope of work includes setting up ground based solar photovoltaic projects including the dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection or delivery point. The projects to be installed would have to be of photovoltaic technology, however, the selection of projects would be technology agnostic within this technology. The prospective bidders would also need to pay a sum of Rs 4.5 million as the earnest money deposit.
