Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited has floated a tender for the supply of balance of system equipment as well as for setting up solar projects of 230 kW at two Steel Authority of India Limited buildings. This consists of the 120 kW capacity being set up in Bengaluru in Karnataka and the 110 kW capacity being set up in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The scope of work includes completing the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of each project within four months. The selected bidder will also have to provide warranty and O&M services for a five-year period. In order to be eligible to participate in the bids, contractors were required to have experience in installing, commissioning, operating and maintaining a single project of at least 50 kWp capacity for rooftop grid-connected plants and a cumulative 100 kWp of projects in the past five financial years. Financial requirements included a minimum annual turnover of Rs 2.5 million over the past three years. The last date for bid submission was June 4, 2020.
