India, Denmark sign MoU for collaborating in renewables and power

India and Denmark have signed MoU to collaborate in renewables as well as the power sector. The MoU was signed on June 5, 2020, by the Ministry of Power and the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. With this, the countries plan to speed up the green energy transition in India over the course of five years. The areas of collaboration include offshore wind, long-term energy planning, forecasting, flexibility in the grid, consolidation of grid codes, and variability in renewable energy production. The MoU aims to facilitate knowledge exchange for green energy transition in both countries. A joint working group will be established under the MoU for the implementation of identified areas.
