Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has secured an order in Brazil to supply 52 of its SG 5.8-170 for the Tucano wind farm, developed by the power company AES. This order consists of Siemens Gamesa’s new technology of 5.X turbines for a total installed capacity of 312 MW. The Tucano wind farm will be located in the state of Bahia and is scheduled for commissioning in 2021.
