SECI extends deadline to submit bids for 4 MW floating solar project with battery storage

SECI has extended the last date for the submission of bids for 4 MW of grid-connected floating solar power projects with 2 MW of battery energy storage systems to May 4, 2020. The projects will be developed at the Kalpong Dam, Diglipur, North Andaman. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, despatch, transportation, and storage of all equipment and materials such as adequate capacity of solar modules with suitable ratings. The solar modules must qualify for the latest edition of the International Electrotechnical Commission qualification test or an equivalent by the Bureau of Indian Standards. The projects will be developed on a build-operate-own basis. SECI also set the maximum tariff payable to the developer at Rs 8 per kWh for 25 years, inclusive of all the currently applicable statutory taxes, duties, levies and cess.
