ITI Limited to procure solar power through open access under group captive model

ITI Limited has issued a tender for procuring solar energy from an off-site ground-mounted project under the group captive open access (GCOA) model. As per the tender guidelines, the selection of solar power developers or private partners for the procurement of 8 MUs of renewable energy per annum will be done through the GCOA model. ITI expects to procure solar energy for one of its premises in Bangalore through a long-term PPA for a period of 25 years. The project is expected to cost Rs 800 million and interested bidders are required to make an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.6 million. The last date for the submission of bids is March 21, 2020.
