REIL issues 3.6 MW rooftop solar tender for Bhopal

Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has invited bids for setting up 3.6 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar projects. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services of the plant, for a period of 10 years from the date of successful commissioning. The solar PV modules and inverters for the projects will be supplied by REIL at the site. The last date for bid submission is March 24, 2020.

In October 2019, REIL invited bids to develop 50 MW of small-scale grid-connected solar projects in various states and union territories. These projects were to be set up under the RESCO model on the rooftops of government buildings. The scope of work included the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects. A tariff ceiling of Rs 4.65 per kWh for general category and Rs 5.10 for special category states was set.

Prior to this in September 2019, REIL had issued a tender to install and commission 2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at several government buildings in Jaipur. An earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 was required to participate in this tender. According to the tender, REIL had agreed to hand over all the required material at the project premises and the project were to be completed ten weeks from the date of issuing the work order.
