Azelio launches its renewable energy storage facility in Morocco

Swedish company Azelio has completed the installation of its renewable energy storage facility with 24-hour clean power production in Morocco. Further, the installation is a part of the joint technical and business development agreement between Azelio, a specialist in thermal energy storage, and the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen). The solution has been successfully installed at the Noor Ouarzazate solar complex. The solution helps store renewable energy from solar and wind power and makes it available throughout the day as electricity and heat. The system uses recycled aluminium as a storage medium, containing no rare minerals and suffers no reduced capacity over time. The verification of the storage is expected to be initiated during the first quarter of the coming financial year, with commercial installations later in the year, followed by volume production next year.
