Grundfos introduces new renewable-powered off-grid water pumps

Grundfos India has introduced two unique off-grid sustainable water solutions to support remote and rural villages of India with limited grid connectivity. These renewable energy-powered off-grid solutions, SQFlex and CRFlex, will help pump underground and surface water respectively. The SQFlex pumps will be primarily used in remote locations with limited or no power supply. These pumps are powered by solar and wind energy and can adapt themselves to the varying weather conditions in India. They are also equipped with a battery backup system that can store the excessive energy generated which can be used to compensate for downtime. Their permanent magnet motor ensures energy efficiency throughout the product life cycle. With a built-in inverter and frequency converter, the pump is compatible with AC and DC power supply without the need for an external inverter. The products are available in 15 different sizes, which include five models of helical rotor pumps to be used in applications with high head requirement and 10 centrifugal pump models that demand greater flow. SQFlex is ideal for remote locations, as villages, schools, hospitals and small houses, farms and greenhouses, game parks and conservation areas.

CRFlex pumps are sustainable solutions used to pump surface water in off-grid areas. With an intelligent MGFlex motor for optimal performance, this solution can be used to pump non-aggressive, non-explosive liquids. CRFlex is suitable for rural communities, irrigation, livestock and pressure boosting. Both the products are powered by renewable energy, making them reliable off-grid water solutions. In addition, they have built-in electronics with an easy interface, consistent water supply, low operating costs for the end user and protection from dry running. Moreover, they have a wide voltage range, with overvoltage, undervoltage and overload protection.
