BSNL plans to set up rooftop solar projects in Maharashtra

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has invited bids for 2.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects on BSNL buildings in different zones of Maharashtra. The project will be developed under the RESCO model. The scope of work includes the site survey, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of the projects. The interested bidder should have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar PV project with a capacity of not less than 50 kW, commissioned at least six months before the techno-commercial bid opening date. The last date for the online submission of bids is March 17, 2020.

In January 2020, the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) issued tender to select contractors for grid-connected and off-grid rooftop solar projects within the state. The off-grid installations will include battery storage. The scope of work for the 25 MW of projects at various locations with and without battery energy storage involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are also expected to provide insurance, warranty, spare parts, and the operations and maintenance of the projects. The last date for submission of bids is February 24, 2020.
