APDCL reissues tenders for 100 MW of solar power projects

The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has reissued a request for selection to procure a cumulative capacity of 100 MW of power from grid-connected solar projects in four regions of the state through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The tender was initially issued in January 2018. These projects are set to be developed under four tenders of 25 MW each.  As per the tender document, the ceiling tariff for the project has been revised to Rs 4 per kWh from the earlier Rs 4.48 per kWh. All these projects are to be developed on a build, own, and operate basis. The last date for the submission of bids is February 21, 2020.

Recently, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) had floated a tender to develop 30 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects. The capacity was tendered under Phase II of the central public sector undertaking programme. Under this tender, three projects of 10 MW each were to be set up in the lower Assam zone, central Assam zone, and in the region of Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi. The scope of work included the design and construction of the solar power projects. The developers were also responsible for O&M for a period of 25 years. The tariff ceiling was set at Rs 3.13 per kWh.
