Togo floats tender for 60-80 MW of solar projects

Togo has floated a tender for two solar PV projects with an estimated capacity ranging between 60 MW and 80 MW. The projects will be developed in Kpalassi, located in the Kara region, and Salimdè in the central region of the country. The project will be developed using the Scaling Solar initiative of the World Bank. The contract will be awarded for 25 years. The Government of Togo has asked the International Finance Corporation to act as the principal transaction adviser. The tender process will be organised and managed by the Togolese Rural Electrification and Renewable Energies Agency as per the provisions of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law. The last date of bid submission is March 30, 2020.
