MPUVNL issues a 25 MW battery storage based rooftop solar tender

The Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) has issued tender to select contractors for grid-connected and off-grid rooftop solar projects within the state. The off-grid installations will include battery storage. The scope of work for the 25 MW of projects at various locations with and without battery energy storage involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are also expected to provide insurance, warranty, spare parts, and the operations and maintenance of the projects. The last date for submission of bids is February 24, 2020.

In November 2019, GAIL Limited floated a tender for a cumulative capacity of 1.8 MW of ground-mounted solar power projects to be developed at the GAIL complex in Vijaipur, located in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work includes the redesign, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and complete operations and maintenance of the two projects of 1 MW and 0.8 MW capacities, respectively. The two solar projects will be constructed in parallel for captive use only. As per the tender document, prospective bidders will have to pay Rs 2 million as the earnest money deposit. The time provided for the completion of the project is eight months.
