The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has floated a tender for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 50 MW solar project set up by NTPC in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Apart from O&M, the scope of work includes the arrangement of labor, materials, safety equipment, and tools. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 8.6 million. The interested bidders will have to submit an amount of Rs 172,000 as the earnest money deposit and the last date for the submission of bids is February 12, 2020.
In January 2020, BHEL issued a tender for conducting a detailed survey for its proposed 22 MW floating solar project in Kerala. The project would be installed at the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project at Kayamkulam. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 0.83 million. The scope of work includes the geotechnical investigation of land, bathymetric survey, and geotechnical investigation of the water body on which the floating solar project would be installed. It also involves mobilising the necessary survey instruments, materials, tools, equipment, survey boats and labour for conducting the survey. According to the tender document, interested bidders should have executed similar work related to bathymetric survey and geotechnical investigation of water bodies in the past.
