UK funds four advanced biofuel projects

The UK Department for Transport has announced funding to support four advanced biofuel projects, including those that aim to produce low carbon aviation fuel, fuel for heavy goods vehicles, and cellulosic ethanol. KEW Projects and Rika Biogas have been awarded £6.5 million to set up plants that produce fuel for heavy goods vehicles. Rika Biogas will produce liquid biomethane while Kew Projects will produce a diesel substitute.
