Uttar Pradesh’s 500 MW solar tender undersubscribed by 268 MW

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency’s (UPNEDA) 500 MW solar tender has been undersubscribed by 268 MW. Jackson Limited won 100 MW, while Talettutayi (solar arise) and Ib Vogt Solar India were allocated 50 MW each. Vijaya Printers and ATA Renewable were also allocated 25 MW and 7 MW respectively.

In December 2019, NTPC Limited invited bids for 870 kW of rooftop solar projects to be set up at one of its generating stations in Uttar Pradesh. The project entails the supply and erection of grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems on the roof of NTPC’s Stage-2 TG hall in Vindhyachal. The scope of the work includes the design, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of the projects on a turnkey basis. The tender specifies that the winning bidder must also operate and maintain the project for one year. Also, the interested bidders are expected to pay an earnest money deposit of Rs 500,000. The tender also states that bidders must have a turnover of at least Rs 35.6 million in the last three financial years.
