SECI declares results for 97.5 MW rooftop solar tender

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the list of successful bidders selected for its 97.5 MW rooftop solar tender. The total capacity of 97.5 MW has been divided into three categories. The first category is for 10 MW under the CAPEX model (Part A), the second is for 85 MW for RESCO model (Part B), and the third is for 2.5 MW under the CAPEX model (Part C). Across the four identified zones, the rates discovered during the bidding for Part A category were in the range of Rs 21,200-Rs 26,000 per kWp, under Part B, it was between Rs 1.88-Rs 3.3 per kWh and under the Part C it was between Rs 19,840-Rs 38,000 per kWp.

Recently, the Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) floated a tender for the empanelment of agencies to install grid-connected rooftop solar PV power projects of various capacities anywhere in the state. The total capacity of the rooftop solar PV projects will be 10 MW for residential consumers only. The scope of work entails the empanelment of agencies for the design, manufacture, testing, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power projects in the state. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 540 million and the period of empanelment is for 12 months. The last date for the submission of bids is January 23, 2020.

The South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) has also floated a tender for 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across the state for the residential sector. The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects along with integrated, comprehensive maintenance for five years. According to the tender guidelines, the interested bidders are expected to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 200,000. The last date for the submission of bids is January 30, 2020.
