SECI issues RfS for 1,200 MW of solar projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a RfS document to set up 1,200 MW of ISTS- connected solar projects. According to the tender document, the interested bidders are expected to pay an earnest money deposit of Rs 400,000 per MW. A tariff cap of Rs 2.78 per kWh has been set for the tender. Also, the installation of the solar PV power projects must be done on a build-own-operate basis. Moreover, the projects should range between 50 MW and 300 MW and must be undertaken only in multiples of 10 MW. The last date for the submission of bids is February 4, 2020.

In December 2019, SECI had floated a tender for 100 solar street lights and 50 solar fox lights to be installed in the Katerniaghat wildlife sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh. The scope of work includes the design, supply, development, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar streetlights including annual maintenance for two years. The bid submission deadline is January 14, 2020.
