Assam floats tender for 20 MW solar at Namrup thermal station

The Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) has issued a tender for the development of a 20 MW solar power project at the state’s Namrup thermal power station. The scope of work includes the design, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. The tender also includes the responsibility of the associated transmission system along with the operations and maintenance of the project for five years. As per the tender’s technological specifications, the solar photovoltaic modules used should have an efficiency of more than 15.5 per cent for multi-crystalline and 17 per cent for mono-crystalline silicon-based modules. The project should be completed within 180 days from the issue of letter of allotment. The last date for the submission of bids is December 2, 2019.

In October 2019, APDCL issued a tender for 940 kW of off-grid rooftop solar projects at various rural primary healthcare centers across the state. This capacity would comprise 188 projects, and the capacity of each will be 5 kW. According to APDCL, the estimated cost of the project is Rs 100,000. The scope of work includes the site survey, design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects, including operations and maintenance services for five years. The deadline for the submission of bids is November 13, 2019 and the time allotted for the completion of work is six months.
