The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency has floated a tender for installing grid-interactive rooftop solar projects in the range of 1 kW to 25 kW across the state. Totalling 60 MW in capacity, these projects will be eligible for subsidies by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The scope of work covers the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and five years of comprehensive operations and maintenance of the projects. As per the tender guidelines, successful bidders will have to coordinate with discoms for procuring the necessary approvals on behalf of power purchasers and only domestically manufactured solar modules can be used in these projects. The bid submission deadline was October 10, 2019.
