GoodWe has launched its new mini inverter series, XS. The new XS model is an ultra-small inverter of A4 paper size. This single-maximum power point tracking, single-phase residential inverter is extremely light and compact, weighing only 5.2 kg. These inverters save installation space and ease the whole commissioning process. Easy handling contributes to lower manpower costs while the small size reduces logistical costs. The inverters are available for a wide range of capacities, including 0.7 kW, 1 kW, 1.5 kW and 2 kW. The low power capacity of 0.7 kW makes this inverter suitable for mini residential systems.
The small size does not impact the product performance and the inverter still offers oversizing of up to 30 per cent of the direct current (DC) input. Based on GoodWe’s sophisticated and patented technology, the XS inverter can reportedly deliver as much as 97.5 per cent of European inverters’ efficiency. The inverters have low start-up voltage of 50 V, which helps in achieving longer electricity generation hours. While other inverters have a single communications option, XS inverters have multiple communication channels such as local area network and Wi-Fi for easy access. The XS inverters have an aesthetically pleasing design, which makes them a suitable choice for residential buildings.
