Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) held a wind auction of 440 MW of capacity which was won by two bidders. The winning bidders were CLP which won 250 MW at Rs 2.83 per kWh and Enel which won 190 MW at Rs 2.84 per kWh. The ceiling tariff for this auction was Rs 2.85 per kWh. The original size of the tender was 1800 MW but since only two developers participated, allotment was reduced to 440 MW. This capacity is part of the tender floated by the agency for 1,800 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind projects under tranche VIII.
