The Himachal Pradesh government has signed two pacts for setting up solar power plants with an outlay of Rs 10 billion. One of these agreements was signed with ReNew Energy for setting up 150 MW of installed capacity while the second was signed with CSE Development for setting up a 100 MW solar plant. The ReNew Energy project is expected to be commissioned by 2021. The state will facilitate the companies to obtain permission and clearances from authorities. The Solar power plants would be set up in Una and Kangra districts. The state government aims to tap 776 MW of solar power by 2022.
