Bihar announces tenders for 4 MW of floating solar projects

The Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has invited two request for proposal  bids of 2 MW each to develop grid-connected floating solar power projects. While one project of up to 2 MW will be developed on private water bodies, another 2 MW would be developed on a government-owned water body located at North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited circle in the state’s Darbhanga district. The minimum bidding capacity for the two projects is 250 kW and 1.5 MW respectively. The online bid submission deadline is September 12, 2019. The date for the submission of the tender document and earnest money deposit is September 13, 2019. The project will be developed on a built-own-operate basis with a 25-year power purchase agreement.
