India requires a $700 billion renewable energy investment

According to the Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA), India will require an investment of $500 billion to $700 billion for the renewable energy segment and the support of grid network over the next decade. The report reviews India’s energy market and finds recent policy changes favourable for renewable energy investors. The report, however, takes note of the recent slow-down in tendering, grid integration constraints, and issues with aggressive tariff caps.
