RfS bid due date extended for 2,000 MW grid-connected solar projects under Tranche-I

SECI has extended the RfS bid due date for the implementation of the 2,000 MW grid-connected solar power projects (Tranche I) under the CPSU scheme Phase II with a viability gap funding (VGF) support for self-use or use by the central and state governments from July 2 to 24, 2019. The bids for the tender were invited in March 2019. The VGF will be released in two tranches: 50 per cent on the award of contract to the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor (including the in-house EPC division) by the solar power developer and the balance 50 per cent on the successful commissioning of the full capacity of the project. The developer will sign the agreement with the EPC contractor within six months from the date of issue of the letter of award by SECI.
