NTPC Limited has extended the bid due date for development of 1,000 MW of grid-connected solar power projects (Tranche-I) under Phase II of the central public sector undertaking scheme from July 25, 2019 to August 1, 2019. The bids for the tender were invited in June 2019.
The scope of work involves design, engineering, manufacturing, transportation, unloading, storage, and installation and commissioning of grid-connected capacity of 50 MW to 300 MW.
The scope also includes operations and maintenance of the plant along with electrical equipment, consumables and spare parts for a period of three years from the date of successful completion of trial run.
The project involves development of grid-connected solar PV projects of capacity 1,000 MW on a turnkey basis anywhere in India. NTPC Limited intends to finance the project through its own resources.
