RfP bids cancelled for 40 MW solar power project in Uttarakhand

The Uttarakhand Irrigation Department (UID) cancelled the Request for Proposal bids that were invited for development of 40 MW grid-connected solar PV power project in the state as no bids were received for the project. The bids were re-invited in June 2019.

The locations for the project include the periphery of two dams, Haripura (27 MW) and Tumariya (13 MW). The work is expected to complete in 12 months at an estimated cost of Rs 1.61 billion.

UID will sign a power purchase agreement with the successful bidder for a period of 25 years and will also provide the required land for installation of the plant free of cost.

The project involves development of 40 MW solar power plants in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand on build, operate, own and transfer basis.
