SECI’s 1,200 MW solar tender oversubscribed by 900 MW

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) tender for setting up 1,200 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects under Tranche IV has been oversubscribed by 900 MW. According to news reports, Azure Power, SB Energy, Ayana Renewables, ReNew Power and UPC Solar had bid for 300 MW of grid-connected solar PV capacity each. Mahindra had bid for 250 MW while Avaada bid for 350 MW. The tariff ceiling for the tender, floated in February 2019, was fixed at Rs 2.65 per kWh.
