Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) has invited Request for Proposal bids for appointment of consultant for conducting assessment and preparation of pre-feasibility report for optimisation of the hydro power potential including pump storage in the state on June 11, 2019.The last for submission of bids is July 3, 2019. The report is expected to be completed within six months.
The scope of work includes evaluation of hydropower potential in the river basins namely Brahmaputra and Barak, potential pump storage and run-off river hydropower projects; assessment of financial and economical viability, environmental and social viability of reservoir; preparation of digitised basin wise plans, separate river basin and physiographic maps and pre-feasibility report on small and medium hydropower generation in the state of Assam.
