SECI’s 1,200 MW solar tender oversubscribed by 900 MW

The tender floated by the SECI to set up 1,200 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects across India has been oversubscribed by 900 MW.

According to media sources, Azure Power, SB Energy, Ayana Renewables, ReNew Power, and UPC Solar have bid for 300 MW of grid-connected solar PV capacity each. Mahindra has bid for 250 MW of solar PV capacity, and Avaada has bid to set up 350 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects.

SECI had tendered the capacity under tranche-IV in February 2019. The tariff ceiling for this tender was fixed at Rs 2.65/kWh.
