EPC bid due date extended for 10 MW Mandira small HEP in Odisha

Gedcol Sail Power Corporation Limited (GSPCL), a joint venture of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha (GEDCOL), has extended the bid due date for selection of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for development of the 10 MW Mandira Dam small hydro electric power project from May 21, 2019 to June 21, 2019. The bids were invited in February 2019.

The scope of work includes design, manufacturing, shop testing and inspection, supply, storage and handling at site along with construction, erection, testing and commissioning of civil, hydro mechanical and electro mechanical works. The scope also includes operations and maintenance of the commissioned project for a period of five years. The work is expected to complete in 30 months.

The project involves development of 3 x 3.3 MW small hydro electric plant near Mandira village in Sundargarh district of Odisha.

Meanwhile, In April 2019, NHPC Limited had invited bids for selection of an EPC contractor for development of the 40 MW solar power project to be set up in Odisha. The last date for submission of bids is May 17, 2019.

The project involves development of the 40 MW grid-connected solar power project including 132 kV transmission line along with the setting up of the evacuation arrangement at Landeihil village in Ganjam district of Odisha. The scope also includes comprehensive operations and maintenance of the project for a period of 10 years.

The land required for the project will be allotted by the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation and the power produced will be evacuated by Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
