RfS bid due date extended for 1,200 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects under Tranche IV

SECI has extended the Request for Selection bid due date for development of the 1,200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche IV) from April 30, 2019 to May 15, 2019. The bids for the same were invited in March 2019.

According to tender guidelines, SECI will sign a power purchase agreement with the successful bidders selected for a period of 25 years as per the provisions of PPA. The solar power developer must bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 300 MW. The project capacity will remain in multiples of 10 MW only.

A bidder may set up the cumulative project capacity at a single location, or may configure the project as being sub-divided into a number of blocks, being set up at multiple locations, if required. A project may consist of any number of blocks, each being in multiples of 10 MW along with a minimum capacity of 20 MW. The minimum voltage level for a single block will be 33 kV.

The project involves development of ISTS solar power plants with an aggregate capacity of 1,200 MW across the country on build, own and operate basis.
