RfS bid due date extended for 1,000 MW Ujjani Dam floating solar project

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has further extended the Request for Submission bid due date for development of the 1,000 MW floating solar power plant at Ujjani Dam from April 15, 2019 to May 10, 2019.

A total of 10 locations (10 x 100 MW) have been finalised for implementation of the project.

The floating solar project developers will develop the plants, the electric high voltage pooling substation and the entire necessary evacuation infrastructure.

MSEDCL will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date.

The developers will bear the land lease charges of Re 1 per land per year (that is, land for the each 100 MW cluster) and will pay the amount to the Water Resource Department (WRD), Maharashtra. A tripartite agreement will be signed through MSEDCL for handing over the land from WRD to the developers within one month from the date of signing of PPA. Also, the land lease will be valid from the date of signing of the tripartite agreement for the term of the PPA or the term of the extended PPA or the termination of the PPA, whichever is earlier.
