Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has further extended the Request for Submission bid due date for development of floating solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants with a cumulative capacity of 1,000 MW at Ujjani Dam located in the Solapur district of Maharashtra, from March 20, 2019 to April 15, 2019.
A total of 10 locations have been finalised for implementation of the project and in each of these locations a 100 MW floating solar project will be developed.
The floating solar project developers will develop the plants along with the electric high voltage pooling substation and the entire necessary evacuation infrastructure from the floating solar power plant till the nearest EHV substation of Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited.
MSEDCL will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder for a period of 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date.
According to the tender guidelines, the developers will bear the land lease charges of Re 1 per land per year and will pay the amount to the Water Resource Department of Maharashtra.
