Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has extended the bid due date for development of the 20 MW floating solar project along with 60 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) at eight islands of Lakshadweep from April 1, 2019 to May 2, 2019.
The islands include Agatti (3 MW) with 9 MW BESS capacity, Amini (2.75 MW) with 8.25 MW BESS capacity, Chetlat (0.75 MW) with 2.25 MW BESS capacity, Kadmat (2 MW) with 6 MW BESS capacity, Kalpeni (2 MW) with 6 MW BESS capacity, Kavaratti (4.5 MW) with 13.5 MW BESS capacity, Kiltan (1.5 MW) with 4.5 MW BESS capacity and Minicoy (3.5 MW) with 10.5 MW BESS capacity.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, construction, erection, testing, commissioning of the projects. It also includes operations and maintenance of the plants for a period of 10 years on a turnkey basis.
All projects spread across eight islands will be awarded to a single bidder only.
