The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited request for selection (RfS) bids for the implementation of 1,200 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche VII). According to the tender guidelines, SECI will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years. Wind power developers must bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 600 MW. The developers will also be responsible for the construction of the transmission network up to the delivery point. The projects will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. The last date for bid submission is March 26, 2019.
