RfS bids invited for 1,000 MW grid-connected wind power projects in Gujarat

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has invited Request for Selection bids for the development of the 1,000 MW grid-connected wind power projects (Phase II-R) in the state. The bids were earlier invited for 500 MW capacity in February 2018.

According to tender guidelines, a single bidder must bid for a minimum 25 MW and maximum 300 MW capacity. GUVNL will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder for a period of 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date (COD) of the project or date of commissioning of the project, whichever is earlier.  Also, over and above the offered capacity of 1,000 MW, GUVNL may consider signing PPAs aggregating up to 100 MW capacity with the central public sector undertakings and state public sector undertakings.

The successful bidders must report tie-up of financing arrangements for the projects within seven months from the date of execution of PPA. The last date for bid submission is March 30, 2019.
