The Uttarakhand Irrigation Department (UID) has re-invited Request for Proposal bids for the development of grid-connected solar PV power projects at the periphery of two dams, Haripura (27 MW) and Tumariya (13 MW). The bids for 40.84 MW of capacity were earlier invited in January 2019 and were later cancelled. The work is expected to complete in 12 months at an estimated cost of Rs 1.61 billion. According to tender documents, UID will sign a PPA with the successful bidder for a period of 25 years and will also provide the required land free of cost for the installation of the plant.
The projects will be developed on build, operate, owned and transfer (BOOT) basis. The last date for submission of bids is March 22, 2019.
