SECI invites bids for 20 MW floating solar PV project in Lakshadweep

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited bids for the development of floating solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 20 MW along with battery energy storage systems (BESS) of combined capacity 60 MW at eight islands of Lakshadweep.

The islands include Agatti (3 MW) with 9 MW BESS capacity, Amini (2.75 MW) with 8.25 MW BESS capacity, Chetlat (0.75 MW) with 2.25 MW BESS capacity, Kadmat (2 MW) with 6 MW BESS capacity, Kalpeni (2 MW) with 6 MW BESS capacity, Kavaratti (4.5 MW) with 13.5 MW BESS capacity, Kiltan (1.5 MW) with 4.5 MW BESS capacity and Minicoy (3.5 MW) with 10.5 MW BESS capacity.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the plants. It also includes operations and maintenance (O&M) of the plants for a period of 10 years on a turnkey basis.

The entire project will be awarded to a single bidder. The last date for submission of bids is April 1, 2019.
