Four companies win bids for development of 1,000 MW of solar capacity in Maharashtra

A total of four companies have won the bids for developing 1,000 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Maharashtra. These are Shiv solar Private Limited, ACME Solar Holdings Limited, ReNew Solar Power Private Limited and Avaada Energy Private Limited.

Shiv Solar and ACME Solar have won the bids for developing 50 MW and 300 MW capacity respectively by quoting Rs 2.74 per kWh. Besides, ReNew Power has won the bids for developing 300 MW capacity by quoting Rs 2.75 per kWh. Avaada Energy had submitted bids to develop 500 MW capacity, however, it has won the bids to develop 350 MW capacity by quoting Rs 2.75 per kWh. The bids were invited by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited in December 2018.
