The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved Phase II of the grid-connected rooftop solar programme. The programme is being implemented with a total central financial support of Rs 118.14 billion.
Under the Phase II programme, performance based incentives will be provided to discoms based on the additional rooftop solar capacity installed in a financial year over and above the base capacity. The base capacity will be the cumulative capacity achieved at the end of previous financial year.
