Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited Request for Selection (RfS) bids for the 1,200 MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche III). According to the tender guidelines, SECI will sign PPAs with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years. The solar power developer must bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 300 MW. The project capacity must be in multiples of 10 MW. A bidder may either set up the cumulative project capacity at a single location or smaller capacities at multiple locations. A project may consist of any number of blocks, each being in multiples of 10 MW along with a minimum capacity of 20 MW. The minimum voltage level for a single block will be 33 kV. For a single project, blocks must be located within the same state.
